- Check the program for information on our exciting panel of top industry researchers.
The First Workshop on Hot Topics in Autonomic Computing will bring together researchers in the computer systems community to discuss new ideas and developments that address one of the greatest challenges faced by the IT industry: conquering the growing complexity of large-scale systems. HotAC will be the forum for community-wide discussions of new, potentially ground-breaking ideas about self-management that are not yet sufficiently mature to present formally, with the goal of identifying promising incipient ideas and nurturing them into more substantial efforts that would warrant eventual publication in ICAC or other high-quality conferences.
We request submissions of position papers of five or fewer pages from researchers or practitioners that propose new directions of research, advocate non-traditional approaches to old (or new) ideas, or report on experiences with real systems that may stir up new problems or suggest new solutions. Topics that are likely to provoke fruitful controversy are strongly encouraged.
Submission deadline: Friday March 3rd
March 10th (hard deadline), 2006 (11:59 EST)
Notification of acceptance: Wednesday May 3rd, 2006
Camera-ready copy due: Monday May 15th, 2006
